Adding a card is what starts the trial — nothing before it does. Stripe charges $0 that day and shows you the exact first-charge date before you confirm: day 30, at the plan and billing period you picked. One click stops it before that date and you are charged nothing. If you would rather not put a card down, you don’t have to: the free plan runs without one, and the public record is open with no account at all.

Email support@tapeline.io from your account address within 30 days of your first charge — there is no form and no reason required. We process it within 3 business days, and Stripe returns the money to the card or wallet you paid with, which usually lands in 3–10 business days depending on your bank. Annual plans get a prorated refund within 30 days on annual plans (one month at the monthly rate retained); monthly plans get a full refund within 30 days on monthly plans. Full policy.
Card details are entered on Stripe’s own checkout page, not on Tapeline. Your card number never reaches a Tapeline server — we receive only the subscription status Stripe reports back.

Free is where a new account starts: an email and a password, no card. It is also where an account lands when a trial or subscription ends. Adding a card starts the 30-day Premium trial, which turns on the Premium column — $0 that day, one click to cancel before day 30. The public record — scorecard, daily picks, ticker pages and exports — stays open with no account at all.
Check the record before you pay.
Each daily top 10 is logged the day it prints. When we checked on 14 September 2026, 4 trading days had no list (31 August, 2 September, 4 September and 9 September 2026); the scorecard names every gap. Losing days stay, and corrections are dated in the changelog. These numbers are read from the scorecard when you open this page.
Common questions
Do I need a card to use Tapeline?

To read Tapeline, no. The daily Top 10, the whole public scorecard, a page per scored ticker and the raw CSV/JSON export are open to anyone with no account and no card. To sign up, still no: the form takes an email and a password. A new account lands on the free plan and can run the scanner the same minute — the top 10 scored rows of any scan (prices delayed about 15 minutes, as on every plan), one saved screen, a 5-symbol watchlist and 12 ticker deep-pages a day. A card is what starts the 30-day Premium trial, and that is what turns on every matching row instead of the first 10, a second saved screen, alerts by email and browser push, CSV export, the 200-symbol watchlist, and SEC Form 4 insider filings. $0 is charged the day you add it, the first charge is on day 30 at the plan you picked, and one click cancels before then.
What happens when my trial ends?

On day 30 the plan you picked starts and your card is charged for the first time. Stripe shows you that exact date and amount before you enter the card, and your billing page shows it for as long as the trial runs. Cancel in one click any time before then and you are charged nothing — your account moves to the free plan, which keeps the live top-10 scanner, a saved screen, the 5-symbol watchlist and 12 look-ups a day. Your settings and anything you saved are kept, and the public record — the daily Top 10, the full scorecard, the raw CSV and JSON — stays open either way.
Can I switch plans later?
